According to what you are describing YACS seems to be not able to create directories on his own. In such a situation you should check permissions given to the web daemon (that is running YACS) for the specifc right of directory handling.

I want to change my host. What is the fastest & easyest way of 'packing'?

Alex: of course you have to move files and data. For data, you may access the Control Panel and ask for backup. This will give you one compressed set of SQL statements reflecting database content. On the other side, create a new server as usual. Then visit the Control Panel and restore the database by uploading the compressed file.

At the moment YACS has no mechanism to prevent contributions by members such as new images or links. A thing we should think about, probably. In the meantime you could allow members to contribute, and activate alert messages to be sent to you for afterwards reviews. Thank you for your interest to YACS.
