Et si on gagnait la Virginie ? </b>***

Started by Fernand, edited by Fernand on Nov. 5 2008

Fernand and all my YACS friends,

Thank you for tolerating my silly comments concerning the presidential race here in America.

A couple of years ago, I took my family including my two young daughters on a vacation to Paris.

While near Bastille, I told my daughters that a lot of the good ideas America represents were very much influenced by France. I told them the Statue of Liberty was from France.

I told them the American Revolution was very much influenced by the French Revolution.

I told that the first foreign head of state to visit ground zero after Sept. 11, 2001 was French President Jacqui Chirac.

So, here is to France !

Lets hope the election of Obama makes for a new positive chapter between two great historic allies France and the United States!

and i promise not too be so silly and stick to talking about CMS on this site

Thanks, nj-Steve

How do forms work?

Started by NJ on Apr. 2 2008

Hi, can someone shed some light on "forms".
with J.Juraver, Christophe Battarel, Moore Hazel · 3 contributions, including:

Hi

Somtimes, new yacs funtions are so frequently implemented et so complete that we don't have the time to publish an official "how to" on these!

In the french doc is coming soon an exhaustive article about the form making. Let us know if you need a complete and parallel translation.

Hi Nick again,

I uploaded .js file you suggested..........It seemed to be identicle to a file that was included in 8.1 beta.

I did not know how to "run a one time script.

I shut down my YACS server, turned it back on.

No difference, tabs still did not work in User and Control panel sections.

I did the above and tested in both "AlfrescO" and "Grigiloo" skins............tabs did not work in either skin.

I tried in "skelaton" skin.......and all the tabs work perfectly!!

So maybe the problem is Skin specific?

Thanks, NJ

Templates and other capabilities
with Bernard Paques · 2 contributions, including:
Actually YACS is using S5 as a simple skin rendering option. Look at the file template_s5.php of your particular skin to understand where are the style sheets loaded at run-time. Also, you may look at the S5 documentation page from Eric Meyer to access reference information. The only addition made by YACS is that the set of slides is generated dynamically, based on database content, instead of being stored in a static file. Everything else is coming from Eric's contribution. Enjoy!
