How can I do it?

I think should look at overlays and see if you can store the data via one of them, then I am pretty sure you can output that info to the homepage.

posterous.com allows you to post to multiple blogs. You can also post to YACS with a simple modification to services/describe.php

Rotating stack of images - works beautifully!

I finally figured out images!

Ive since taken off the rotating stacks because they were unexpectedly resource intensive for my shared-server.

But it works great! images=#,#,#,# where the

# = the number of the image you want to rotate.

So you use images instead of image and it works great!

 How to add a simple "please wait" message to all of your pages that disappears when ready.


It works! I have checked that at your site. For your information, YACS 7.10 uses a similar trick while submitting form data to the server. A hidden panel is displayed when the submit button is hit, showing a spinning circle to make people know that some processing is on-going. This is implemented in the brand new AJAX library in ##shared/yacs.js

How to change the number of displayed links?

Add SNAP.COM to your YACS and allow users to see PREVIEWS of your external links.

Just today, I added snapshots to my site and they work beautifully!

Background: I have a LOT of external links on my site, http://free.naplesplus.us/ for local news. I do post some articles, have some user interaction, but primarily I use Yacs as a news aggregator, and it does a fantastic job.

Just today, I added the famous snap.com snapshots to external links, and it works perfectly.

Just visit http://snap.com

and add the code they suggest to your Trailer on your Meta rendering options.

It will work instantly and perfectly. you won't know what you did without it!

[it also brings pictures and colorful-ness to YACS - something that it sometimes lacks].
