Loading Speed of pages

Saeed Ibn -- on Apr. 25 2008

Hello

I have been trying out Yacs when i found about it from opensourcecms.

I am really impressed by the number of features included in it.

But I am concerned with one thing and that is the loading speed of pages.

Presently im testing it under my localhost installation.

and pages takes usual 1+ second to load and sometimes the time goes upto 4 seconds.

This is really very slow.

Can you please indicate the version of YACS that you are using, and also the settings of the system configuration panel?

Bernard:

I am running Xampp.

Apache , PHP and Mysql.

Windows XP SP2

I might switch to Drupal as there is not enough documentation for YACS and the bad part is that its the main program is in French.

Page prepared in 0.13 seconds for FoWL

Slowest loaded page for me on my site. Must be something with your configuration.

Really isn't much of a need for the documentation from what ive been able to figure out so far. YACS is so easy it might be hard untill you spend a few minutes clicking around in it. You can use it just like Drupal without the need to install 40 million plugins. It can be a forum, a blog, a cookbook, a calendar for events, a Myspace style site or all of this with only a few clicks.

Just take a bit of time and poke and prod inside it a little bit, its really a better choice then Drupal. Try the 8.6 beta.
